Unit 1 , using dictionary


University of Washington Computer Science & Engineering includes roughly fifty faculty members, fifty staff members, three hundred graduate majors (165 in the Doctoral program and 135 in the Professional Masters Program), and five hundred undergraduate majors (160 graduates per year). I think that the parragraph was publicated by the people know more about the University of Washington and know how all about the numbers of people that are relationated with this university, I liked very much because I didn´t know this university and the estructure

1. Could you please define Engineering in your own words?
A: Engineering is a career where you have to be aplicated, and know very much about number and mathematics.

2. What influenced you to pursue Computer Engineering?
A: I always liked the computers, the computers programs and the mathematics, so I decided to study a career where I could do all what I want.

3. Could you please describe the educational process required to become an Engineer?
A: First, you have to take a test where you have to decide what is the career that you want to study, then you have to register in the career, after you starts, you have to be very responsable and have a good grades.

4. What are the skills you need to be a good engineer?
A: You have to be very responsable, know how to resolve a problem lonely and in group, know very much about computers and numbers too.

5. What job considerations were you looking for after you completed your education?
A: Work in my own company where I can do all the things what I have learned from the university.

6. What's something of your school life that you enjoy the most?
A: Getting good grades in English and in Mathematics too.

7. From your perspective, what is the most difficult part of being an engineering student?
A: There are a lot of hard things that you have to do, you have to study very much and be very good with numbers.

8. What are your plans for the future?
A: I want to graduate with good grade, and then I want to go to live to Canada and work there.

9. Point out your most personally gratifying moment in Engineering school.
A: When I passed geometry and fisica.

10. Why would you recommend Engineering as a career?
A: Because it is a career where you learn, numbers, professional and individual skills, environment works. In my opinion Engineering is a complete career that you have to be very creative.

My classmates


I´m going to introduce my classmates. Alfredo Figuera is the guy next to me, he is 24 years old and he is studing Industrial engineering at URBE, he love soccer and his favorite team is manchester united and he want to be a good engineer and live in england with his family. the other guy is Jorge Besson and he is 24 years old and he studies Industrial engineering at URBE, he love soccer and his favorite team is Real Madrid but the most interesting thing for him is drink, smoke and go out with his friends.

Hi, My name is Jairo Maldonado, I´m from Maracaibo, originally, i live in Maracaibo, in San Jacinto. I´m 18 years old and I study engineering at urbe.

I love music, dancing, playing basket, surfing the net, talking on the phone with my friends, pizza, go out on weekends and drink beer.

I hate go to class, smoking, listening rock, getting up early, war, washing my clothes and washing the dishes.

My dream is to travel to paris, visit the eiffel tower. I want to graduate from engineering and be a good engineer. I also want to learn to speak French and Italian. I´d love to buy a house, a car and have my own company.

About English, I love to talk with other people but I don´t like to read very much, I listen music and watch sports program in english. I can write well but I think thah I have ti practice more.
